Fire Signoffs
Bonner County
In order for Fire District staff to review your Bonner County Planning Fire Signoff for compliance with International Fire Code, please email the following information to the Spirit Lake Fire District Administrator. You may also drop off your documents in person at fire station 1 at 32182 N 6th Avenue in Spirit Lake. Please call ahead to ensure that someone will be available to assist you. Please note that forms presented in person may not be able to be reviewed at that time.
Bonner County Planning Fire Sign-Off form with your completed information (applicant name, contact information, BLP#, RP#, project address).
Bonner County Planning Building Location Permit Application with site plan that includes driveway access details with dimensions, including width, length, and percent of grade.
If a platted parcel, please provide a County recorded plat map. If applicable, any information needed to satisfy the plat requirements as it pertains to the Fire District.
Please take a moment to review the Spirit Lake Fire District residential permit requirements and take these into consideration when planning access for fire district personnel.
Once we have all your information and documents, the Fire Chief or designee will review your application. If we have any questions, we will contact you via email or phone. Please allow time for review. We will return all documents, including the fire signoff, to you within one (1) to three (3) business days.

All permit applications and inspections are submitted through Kootenai County’s iMS online system.
